"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching"
Hebrews 10:25
You might be wondering what happens to people who die in their sins. The Bible teaches that "...it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27) "And whosoever was not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Rev. 20:15)
Is there any hope? Yes! The Bible tells us that God desires to save everyone. God is "...not willing that any should perish, but all should come to repentance." (2 Pet. 3:9)
How can you be saved? The Bible teaches that, you must realize that there is nothing you can do to make yourself worthy of heaven. "Not by works of rigthteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..."(Titus 3:5)
The Bible calls for "repentance toward God" (Acts 20:21) and also calls for "faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 20:21)
The Bible says, "...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved,"(Acts 16:31).
The last thing you must do is to receive Christ as your personal Saviour. "But as many as received him(Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
If you have decided to trust Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, please pray this prayer with all your heart.
"Heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son and that He died on the cross of calvary that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus, I believe that You rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Saviour. I repent of my sins and will worship you all the days of my life. In Jesus name, Amen."
Salvation is "Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph. 2:9) God "hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began," (II Tim. 1:9)
The Bible says, "As it is written, There is none righteous no, not one" (Rom. 3:10) "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23)
Sin is the problem, and even belonging to a church will not take it away. Jesus Christ Himself said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3)
As the Bible says, "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." (Rom. 3:28)
The way to be saved is so simple! Yet many refuse to be saved. They will not accept Jesus Christ alone for salvation from sin and its penalty. They refuse to believe that the Lord Jesus is powerful enough to save them by Himself. Do you?
